I'm a scientist, researching Neuroscience, which I find pretty satisfying.
Finally.. I'm at a point in the academic career where I actually get paid real money for my work. Oh boy, and someday within the next few years I might become a professor?! Crazy :)
Aside for research, I'm into spending time in nature, camping/hiking, bouldering, piano, board games and projector screen movie nights with friends. Ah! My current dream project is to get an old ~1960s moped/scooter to fix up and have some joyrides in the summer.
My childhood was Russian, my teenage years American, and my early adulthood - around Europe (Edinburgh, Bremen). I think.. I might be getting ready to settle down on one place though.. Could it be Amsterdam?!
I've been very lucky with my previous flatmates, making friends for life. We'd often cook for each, host social gatherings, bonfires in the back yard, etc. I hope I can find an awesome flatshare with similarly good vibes in Amsterdam.
